The Chauffeur position is the unsung hero of the fire service. This class details the role, responsibilities and tasks that a chauffeur must accomplish. The class focuses on the unique responsibilities and tasks of both the Engine & Truck Chauffeur. Other areas of focus in this class are apparatus & line placement, street & building size-up, and roof-top & elevated master stream ops. This personalized class incorporates local buildings into the discussion for apparatus placement, water supply, and overhead hazards, etc.
This class usually runs approximately 3 hours based on student participation.
